In the Holiday

In the Holidays I went to to Panmure Library and I asked if I can sigh up for Dare to Unlock the Secret so they said "Sure why not" So they they asked some question and they gave me the book and they explained what i have to do. So this is how it works in each question you get right you get a stamp and when you got 4 stamps on 1 page you get a sticker. And so when you finish your book you go on the whole off fame. Isn't that cool and so I got my whole book finished and then I was in the whole of fame.

Swirlsorus

Introduction:

Today I was making my own dinosaur and I will also be naming it whatever I want. and so I could it a Swirlsorus. It lived in the Creatashes period.

A Swirlysorus was a Meat eater and it only had 4 legs. A Swirlysorus only drank Pepsi and water. It also ate fruit like apples and bananas and it also ate passionfruit.

A Swirlysorus tail was like a zigzag. It had a small head and it had a big stomach. It had a really really long tail it was longer than a apple.  

  

Conclusion:

A Swirlysorus is a really funny dinosaur and it eats a lot of funny things isn't that crazy. It iven drinks wired things.

Trip to the Museum

Introduction:

On a Cloudy Friday morning room 11 and 12 went to the Auckland Museum. We arrived there a bit late because the year 7 were going on a trip to Rainbows  End. There weren't just teachers there were children's parents who came to help out. We went to the Auckland Museum so we can learn about dinosaurs fossils.

Paragraph 1:

We then finally got there, after a long drive to the Auckland Museum. All the kids hopped of the bus and were split into groups with our caregiver. We went group by group to the front of the Museum. Along the way you could see other people and hear lot’s of noise. A man named Josh introduced himself to us. He showed us fossils of dinosaurs and asked a lot of questions. We even saw a dinosaur's head!!

Paragraph 2:

After our lesson with Josh we had our lunch outside on the Mountain.  When we all finished our lunch Mrs Squires said ” Ok listen up we are only allowed in this big square ok”. Some people played rugby and some people were feeding the pigeons, others were still relaxing and eating.

Paragraph 3:

My favorite part of going to the Auckland Museum was when Mrs Stickland and Mr Moran said “ Who wants to go sliding down the hill in clean rubbish bag”. Everybody wanted to do it but I didn't want to because I did not want to get dizzy and I also got to sit all by myself looking after the gear.

Conclusion:

That was a really fun day at the Auckland Museum. I felt so happy because I have never ever have done that before. I learnt so much about dinosaurs and how they survived.

Mananikalani film festival

Introduction

On a sunny wednesday morning the whole of Pt England School went on a bus all the way to Sylvia Park. When Pt england School got there we waited for other classes. Finally all the classes were here. There were 11 schools that went.

When everybody got there then we just had a bit of a talk. When we finished having a bit of a talk we got started strayed away. All the classes I introduced there class 1 by 1. Finally it got to our class.

One of My favorite movie was from room 11 and 12. because they were so confident at dancing, Stay Young My favorite film was also The Real World and it was  Dance with a Circus Twist

Conclusion

It was really fun at the Manaiakalani film festival. We watched about 100 films from each classroom.

A stegosaurus lived 155 to 150 years ago and it also lived in the late jurassic period. A stegosaurus weight 6,800 pounds it was a size of a bus.

A stegosaurus ate ferns and seed cones on the forest floor and it also was walking slowly and it had 4 legs

A stegosaurus is 9 meters long and 4 meters tall. A stegosaurus was a herberfor.

Day 1: traveling

Relating to my story in the holidays,I went to Mount Ruapahu to enjoy playing real snow along with my family. 

It took almost 4 hours to reach Whakapapa village witch is at the bottom of happy valley. As we arrived at village we stopped for a while to get some information from i office then we drove all the way up to happy Valley. The view is really amazing from above there. The parking was full but we found a space for us to park.

We got our cards to board cable transportation to the top of Mount Ruapahu twice.

The top was full of spectators many of them were skiing and the parents were sitting in the cafe looking of the vast scenery around Ruapahu. We spend 4 hours on the top and then at 4:00 pm. We came down through cable  it was abet scary for those afraid of height.

Day 2: Toupo Sightseeing

Lake Toupo is very beautiful because it has got a lot of fun parks that you can play on. Lake Toupo is full of swan and ducks with there little babies. I enjoyed playing games with family in the park. We had a picnic party by the lake. We fed the ducks and swan.

Huka fall river is another attraction to see crystal clear blue water with high pressure and sound. We had been to look out over the thermal plant there was too much smoke but it was a amazing view.

The raining started so we had to leave for Rotorua . In Rotorua we went to skyline and at skyline we went on the gabong to get on the luge. It was really enjoyable experience and I was lucky to have four trips on the luge and then I was tired and hungry to eat the yummy food and Chicken burger My mother prepared for us. We had our picnic and food by the lake Wakareka.

After picnic we went to Rotorua government house. We took a lot of photos with Tulip flowers of many colors and Rotorua this spring is full of Tulip.  At last we started our journey back home. This trip will always stay in my memories. Finally home sweet home.

I am going to tell you about a volcano eruption. A volcano eruption can be bad. Do you even know that their is Steamy fire inside the volcano. Did you known that  to become a volcanologist you have to study.

When the weather is good, they perform surveys.

They wear helmets to protect their heads. They wear gas masks. They wear heavy gloves to pick up hot rocks.

Cross Country . . .

Introduction 

Relating to my story On a sunny beautiful Monday Pt England school had our any wall school cross country. Pt England's any wall school cross country was after lunchtime eating. The any wall school cross country was a very tough race. Pt England school had the cross country next to the senior playground and it was also next to the teachers staff room.   

   

When I started running I felt so nervous and when I was running my heart was pounding. But I tried my best in the race. When I started running I felt so scared that I might come last but I still tried. Remember champions never give up in running.

Mr Burt started calling out the year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 7, 8,  So people know when it is their turn. "On your mucks get set go." Slam" the clapper went and we went off.

Conclusion

Cross country is my favourite activity in the school. The whole school of Pt England school was excited. I do enjoy cross country a lot with my friends because we get to have a race against each other person.

Fireman David

Introduction

Fireman David came to room 12 at Pt England school on Friday. Fireman David talked to us about a fireman. After that we got to ask fireman David some questions.  The whole of team 3 came and there was heaps of people. It was awesome!

What did fireman David talk to us about?

Fireman David talked to as about how to become a fireman. He talked to us about what  a fireman does.  He told us that he gets money for sleeping. David talked to us about   

all kinds of things that a fireman done.

What does a fireman do?

A fireman does a lot of different things so one of them are putting out fires. What When a fire happens somewhere then they come on a firetruck and have large hoses to put the fire out. They also help people when someone is in a place that is high.

What kind of person do you have to be?

To be a fireman you have to be confident and brave and he also has to like the job. He should honest and trustworthy. You have to be capable to solve problems and also have to  

be able to communicate with others.

1.Leo Mousini was the famous circus person. He did all sorts of tricks. He even teached Mitzi and Mack and they are mice.  

2.Leo Mousini did Cartwheels and he rides on a  unicycle and teached other people.

3.Leo Mousini trained before he went to the circus.

4.Leo Mousini got old and when he got old he was so sad that his back started hearted.

5.When Leo Mousini got old he did another circus but he didn't just go to people houses he called out.

6.Leo mousini teached the Mitzi and Make some tricks and then they became circus  mice clowns.

What kind of person do you have to be?

A teacher has to be intelligent. A teacher has to be interested to help kids. You have to be keen to improve literacy and numeracy. To become a teacher you have to be knowledgeable and kind also you have to be Encouraging. A teacher has to be reliable and Trustworthy.

How do teachers get Money?

A teacher gets money by teaching kids well and Not being lazy to help the kids. Teaches always have to be kind. A teacher has to teach kids good things not bad things. A teacher gets money by making learning fun and interesting. For a teacher to get money they have to treat all students equally. To get money you have to be knowledgeable and a qualified teacher.

How to become a teacher?

INTRODUCTION. What is a Kiwisport coach

A kiwi sport coach is a coach who teaches sports like football, basketball and netball .  A kiwisport coach goes to schools and teaches them some skills.

 

WHAT DOES A KIWISPORT COACH  DO

A kiwisport coach goes to a lot of schools, they come  to our school to teach us skills and helps us be fit. The kiwisport coach also teaches us sports discipline and he also shows a few games to us and what the rules of each sport were. Our kiwisport coach improves the player's skills and encourages us to get it right.         

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES A KIWISPORT COACH NEED/WHAT DO THEY WEAR?

A kiwi sports coach has a big bag full of the  things that they are going to use to help us. For example if they are going to teach you basketball they are going to bring some basketballs but not just 2 basketballs they are going to bring a lot of basketballs. Enough for everyone. They also bring other kinds of equipment such as netball balls, tennis balls and others kinds. When the Kiwi sport coach comes to teach us, he is wearing sports shoes, that are suitable for the activity. They wear shorts and a T-shirt, sometimes the t-shirt they wear will have a picture of the sport were playing.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A KIWISPORT COACH

You become a kiwisport coach by going to take classes at some place that teaches about sports, discipline and how to be fit. Once they do that they might do some training at the end. They also have to take an interview and will be asked a few questions. Soon they will finish their classes. They  will be able to get the job.

WHAT SORT OF PERSON DO YOU NEED TO BE

You need to be kind and encouraging, you also need to be a fun person not a boring or people will think that this coach is boring. You also need to be healthy and extra  fit. They should have confidence in what they teach us and be willing to help us.

Conclusion...

I enjoy kiwi sport because you get to have a lot of fun because when you go there you don't just want to stay their for 5 minutes you want to stay their for long. So for being a kiwisport coach is a wonderful job for me.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday morning Point England school went to our Immersion Assembly. When we walked in the hall Mr Burt was calling out numbers, “anyone got 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 dollars, sold to Mrs Squires”.  Mrs Squires ran up and won a teddy bear but before she got her teddy bear she had to pay with pretend money.

Mr burt was saying numbers Because he wanted to see if any one could pay higher.All the teachers were dressed up.The pavilions teachers which are Ms Squires and Mr Moran.Mr Moran was dreesed up in a fire engine.Ms Squires was dressed up as a builder.What i am taking about is ptengland school going to Immersion Assembly.Pt england school does this every year after the holidays.

Team 1 item was about money.The team 1 teachers went to sunday market.Team 3 item was about jobs.The Team 3 teachers were dressed up of what they wanted to be when they grow up.One of the teachers were dressed up as what i wanted to be when i grow up and it was a sirgene.

My favourite item was team 1 because they had a chocolate scrabble.They item was outstanding.

In the weekend I went to Mount Ruapehu with my family.I made snow balls with my sister because there was snow there.

After we finished we threw the snowballs at each other.Next we made big snowball’s.

Then we made a medium one and a small one.”Do you know what we are making”Yes I do we are making a snowman. After we finished it we tried to make a snowman.

We used play-doh for the mouth and we used a carrot for the nose also a scarf for her neck.We used some lollies for her eyes and guess what it was a girl.My mum and dad were in the car.

I felt so happy that I smiled.When i finished playing with the snow I felt so cold that I couldn't even move my feet and hands.”Are you cold Aisha”she asked me.

Hi my name is Aisha and i am 8 years old turning nine this year.I have 1 sister and three brothers.My sister is 15 years old and my big brother is 13 years old and my second older brother is 11 my third older brother is 10 years old.My second older likes playing squash. My first older brother likes playing soocer and hokey.My third older brother likes playing  squash too.

The lighthouse

On a dull starless, stormy night a old stone lighthouse was rotating it’s light around the town.

The lighthouse keeper was doing some work by candle he couldn't

concentrate because people were cheering and laughing in their cosy cottages and a tavern. Suddenly the window opened.

‘Oh dear I wonder what is happening?” Mr Monkey slammed the window shut and looked back down at his work. Next he heard a loud bang, like a clap of thunder, then the light at the top of the lighthouse ran out. “Oh dear,” he thought to himself.

Suddenly all the cheering and laughing stopped.

He got up from his chair so that he could fix the problem, but he fell as he ran up the stairs carrying a lantern. Mr Monkey saw the machine with its mechanical cogs and wheels and stared at it for a few seconds, wondering how to fix the broken light. “Oh  nothing wrong here,” he thought. So he ran down the stairs

Mr Monkey opened the light bulb to see what was wrong. He then looked outside and saw a boat coming towards the treacherous headland. Mr Monkey looked panicked. He then precariously lifted the enormous lamp and stumbled backwards because of his toolbox which he had left on the ground. The enormous lamp shattered into hundreds of tiny pieces. The boat was coming closer, poor Mr Monkey looked like he was going to have a heart attack. Mr Monkey ran down the stairs and opened the door to get help.Some of his neighbors came with a lantin.

Jimmy held out the delicious marshmallow stick up like a sword to the Monster’s face.When the monster saw the marshmallow stick he acted cute, the monster started behaving like a dog, he got up and  he did all sorts of tricks, like a flipping upside down. 

Suddenly the boy realised he had no marshmallows left! So the monster stopped acting cute and he became angry and disappointed. Jimmy felt hopeless. The monster began to act like if he was going to eat jemmy. But luckily he didn’t. Jimmy ran away  and screamed. Next the monster sat at the fire and burned what he thought was a marshmallow. But it wasn’t. The pillow burned.

Eid Al fitr

In Eid Al fitr we wake up early in the morning and go to the mosque to do prayers.You can go as a family or you could not as a family it’s better if you don’t go as a family because you can get ready and have a bath and change your clothes.After you can either you could go to the botanical garden and celebrate  over there. In 2015 we are in a noter country. In eid Al fitr you get money you also can visit any of your friends house.

The Switch

Mr Bean was strolling alone eating his tasty dinner, licking his fingers. Suddenly a giant shiny white box fell on his forehead.The giant white box fell  to the ground and Mr Bean gave it an almighty kick with his toes .

Next he saw a really shiny box that had unexpectedly appeared out of nowhere .He kept kicking it and  kicking it with his toejam feet. He was very furious.Then he looked at a tower of blocks and climbed  the tower of blocks .IT  was like a sky tower.  

Balancing precariously  Mr Bean lept of  the tower of blocks with a humongous  jump.He was not successful at landing on the box instead he crashed onto the icy ground. He hurt himself badly. When he landed on his head, he saw underneath the glinting shiny box ,a red button.

Mr Bean was very curious to see what the button did so he suddenly decided to press it. He was very cautious of pressing the button, he moved away slightly and hesitated. He was thinking whether he should press the button or not. He thought to himself, ‘Hmmmm I don’t  care, I’m just going to push it’

The box started to spin rapidly, making Mr Bean look confused. Suddenly he saw that the shiny box had sucked his tie towards it. He desperately tried to resist the box, but he couldn’t, he was really stuck. He looked worried.  

Next Mr Bean’s legs  were stuck inside. In an instant the box sucked him in completely and he disappeared. The box spun around with Mr Bean in it,  trying to get out. The shiny box then made another small box with ties on it. Mr Bean is gone!

Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan is the month fasting.It is my favrite month.The fating start’s from sunrise to sunset.Every day breaking fast is festive.When the whole family come together to break the fast worship and pray to gether.

I prefer my parent to wake me up for sahur (Meal before sunrise)I do enjoy to perform all the good deeds such as paying charity ,helping the poor ,be paise and abstain all kind of waste and bad deeds.

I like to join my family to mosque to perform Taraweeh that is when the recitation of the holy Quran take place I love to listen to holy book for hours.When we come back home my mother offer me sweet such as dates,Baqlawas,

and kadife and roohafza drinks.

At the end of the holy month we celebrate the festival of eid that is when early morning after sunrise we pray eid and then we go to visit our friends and they visit us.He get eidy cash and then the Auckland city council and FIANZ invite the whole community to the carnival at alexandra park or Eden park.I love to go on all rides and bouncy castle.I enjoy eating different food from different places.
